Layla

LAYLA is a beautiful, dark red chestnut mare, she was rescued in June 2021 from Oklahoma and is 9 to 10 years old. 

Layla was sent to the Kill Lot because she was pregnant. She had been purchased as a recipient mare but upon her arrival to the recipient farm, it was learned that she was already in foal, so she was returned to the Kill Lot. 

She foaled a beautiful colt, Kyiv, on March 3,2022. 

She has not been explored yet regarding her previous training but will be started or restarted soon. She is sound. We recently sent in her hair samples to UA Davis in California in order to try to find her papers from AQHA.

Layla is available in our “Sponsor A Horse” program and would love to have her own person come out and play with her until she finds her forever home.
